The Columbia School of Mixology has been training bartenders since 1965 and in that time our graduates have gone on to find great success in every level of the business. From bars to clubs to private staffing and catering, you can be sure that a Columbia School of Mixology graduate has worked there. Why take our classes as opposed to other bartending schools?
We use real alcohol in our classes as opposed to flavored water like many other bartending schools in New York.
We’ll teach you how to bartend, not just what the drinks are.
Our course is the cheapest in NY–pay only $200 as opposed to most courses which can cost upwards of $500.
Our teachers are also all graduates of our own program. They teach with your education and entertainment in mind.

Sign Up for our Fall Classes!
Registration for Fall Mixology Classes is now available! Signing up for one of our Mixology courses is incredibly easy. Make sure before you do so you have a credit or debit card ready to pay. We do accept checks or money order on the day of the class, in which case you need to email us to let us know you will be doing so. We do not accept cash.
The only assured way to get a spot in class is to pay online–this is to make sure that our class is full of students who are as committed to learning bartending as we are to teaching it. If you have any questions, please email us at cbamanager@columbia.edu. Please note that we do not give full refunds after the first day of classes has finished. Partial refunds may be given on a case by case basis.

Fall Mixology Courses
Fall Mixology courses will include a 5-Week session and an accelerated class. For the 5 week session, classes meet one night per week, and the accelerated course meets twice a week over 3 weeks (still 5 nights). With the accelerated class, you learn the same material in half the time! All of our classes use real alcohol to teach you hundreds of drinks. That means you can actually taste the drinks you make. You have to be 21 to drink, but only 18 to taste.
