The Columbia Bartending Agency has long supported students on-campus by offering them the awesome opportunity of working as bartender with the Columbia Bartending Agency. Becoming a member of the Agency requires hard work, a great work ethic, and tons of personality and knowledge.

Interested in being part of the Agency? We understand why you would be: the base rate of pay is $18/hr and you get to meet some fabulous people around New York City. But there are a few requirements you must abide by in order to be in the Agency:

  • You must be a current full-time student at any college affiliated with Columbia University including graduate schools and Barnard.
  • You must have taken our Mixology Course and scored 95% or above on the exam.
  • You must be able to work 2-4 jobs a month, the dates and times of which you have control over.
  • You must be kind, personable, smart, efficient, and CONFIDENT.
  • Starting in April 2010, you may only try once for the Agency after taking the class.

After scoring exceptionally well on our exam, we will contact you to set-up a time to interview. Depending on your interview and the current state of the Agency, we will accept you as a bartender.
