Outreach Sponsorship

Thank you for looking to the Columbia Bartending Agency to find assistance with your organization. As an on-campus organization interested in serving our community, we are always looking for ways to give back to the Columbia community and the community at large. We hope that through our work we are able to create positive community building and make a lasting impact that isn’t just about mixology! We are always looking to help through financial support, logistical support, and advertising. There are four different kinds of instances where we are looking to support on-campus clubs and organizations:

  1. Event Co-Sponsorship: Throwing a party on-campus can be difficult, and that’s not even included the costs associated with it! The CBA is looking to co-sponsor student clubs and organizations who need help creating great social spaces that foster safe-drinking and community. This type of event falls under our general $500 monthly grant. Examples: On-campus parties, social gatherings, speed-friending.
  2. One-Time Co-Sponsorship: Having a large event where community and service is at the core of the mission? Let us know and we may be able to help you outside of our normal giving patterns.This type of event falls under our general $500 monthly grant, although we may be able to exceed giving where possible. Examples: Charity auctions, service days, benefit dinners.
  3. Consistent Event Co-Sponsorship: Some on-campus and off-campus events are administered frequently and effectively, proving themselves as being staples to the Columbia experience. However these events can reach rough patches too, and we’re here to help you out as much as we can. This type of event falls under our general $500 monthly grant, although additional marketing may be required for continued co-sponsorship. Examples: First Friday, Postscrypt Coffeehouse, Lerner Pub
  4. General Donations: We can also help out organizations that have great messages and do great work in and out of our community. This type of event falls under our general $500 monthly grant. Examples: tutoring programs, community organizations, green initiatives.

The Columbia Bartending Agency has $500 per month to help support initiatives like these above. Depending on the type of co-sponsorship you are looking, assistance will vary. In each case we ask that at your event you help publicize the Columbia Bartending Agency through posters and advertisements as well as in name when possible. We also ask that you follow up with us after the event and let us know how it went!
